Lisa Torrance BA, PGDip, MBACP

I am a counsellor and therapist, and am proud to be a registered member of the BACP. I spent four years training at The Minster Centre, one on a Foundation course and three earning my diploma in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy. Alongside this, I have been working 1:1 with clients of all backgrounds since 2018.

Throughout my training, I worked with private clients, and also at an addiction centre working closely with people suffering with drug and alcohol dependency. I also have experience working with trauma, anxiety, depression, stress, eating disorders and those who simply feel in need of some lasting change and self-work, whatever that may be. There doesn’t need to be a specific reason pinpointed to seek out and benefit from therapy.

Prior to my work in therapy, I completed an undergraduate degree and then a postgraduate certificate in education which led me into teaching English and drama at secondary school. I saw firsthand the stress young people go through, and this was one of many reasons for my change in career into counselling and psychotherapy.
